Hi,
Even though there are many interesting posts I could not find a clear answer to my question within them.
What a rule was applied that the zero article is used in the following sentence?
This company really wanted to do better and soon hired a Toyota veteran as head of opperations to apply what he had learned.
Would it be correct to write:
This company really wanted to do better and soon hired a Toyota veteran as the head of opperations to apply what he had learned.
