You're lucky having a dog

Is there subtle difference in the meaning between "1" and "2"?
If so, I would like to know the difference.
1. You're lucky to have a dog.
2. You're lucky having a dog.

Top answer

I would put a comma after 'lucky' in #2 but they are synonymous in intent.

Hi,
They are synonymous, and I agree with MM about the punctuation that should be used in the second one.
You could also say, "You're lucky that you have a dog."
