Grammar

Your spelling is so articulate you defy it. What does this mean.?

So I asked this guy a question about if the word but could be used to start a sentence for the dramatic effect even though it is grammatically incorrect. he answered and then said something about effect not being as important as grammer. I tried to be a smart alec and pointed out that sometimes spelling is more important than grammar because he spelt grammar wrong. Then he said "your spelling is so articulate that you defy it". What does he mean. I'm not so good at english. Anyways is he right? what should I say back. just curious Emotion: smile
