When I watch TV or read newspapers, it seems to me that many people are afraid of us (God knows why) or they simply don't understand us.

I think many people have stereotype about Russia that have created by mass media (film, TV ,etc ) during coldwar like a bad man that why some people afraid russia . For me , I know a little thing about russia , for instance , largest nation of the world , have beautiful tourist traps like kremlin , and have interesting history . But I have no idea about government and about people

Be sure, it is not so cold in our country! Now the temperature is about 28-30 degrees above zero! It is in the central region, near Moscow.
Jails... Of course, there are jails and not only in Siberia. Criminals are born in every society, so special places to keep them away from others are needed. However I can't but mention that there are no political prisoners in Russia!

I feel Russians are quite good as my cousin have studied from some Russian university ...and he depicts the good time stories He had enjoyed there ...
but after looking at Russians Players I can for sure say that they are tall, white and handsome/beautiful whatever the gender follows it. So don't loose heart obviously people have different opinion to carry with.

To be honest with you , the media stereotypes nations wrongfully so you get lots of false information .
I've met many Russian people in Dubai ,which is a cosmopolitan city, and have found them friendly , hyperactive and smart people .
