Your old self and your jovial self

I ever saw expressions of '' your old self'' or '' your jovial self'', and I wonder if these are commonly used in everday surroundings of native english speakers.

When someone has recovered from an illness, we say that he is back to his old self . That is a common expression. your jovial self does not seem like a common expression to me.

When someone has recovered from an illness, we say that he is back to his old self. That is a common expression.

your jovial self does not seem like a common expression to me.
