I think that Abba has to be considered as a 70's band more than 80's, in fact their activity was from 1972 to 1982.

A band that I like very much is Queen, despite I like their 70's works more, in fact I'm a big fan of 70's music :P and I don't like very much the 80's style, despite I kinda like some 80's songs, one for example is [url=

I suppose you could, but your original sentence reads to me as if the article marks two superlatives but is followed by a superlative (best) and a base adverb (well); in any case, it is ambiguous.
