Hi,

Where does one place the period? Is it after the ending quotation marks ("Leaf".) or before the ending quotation marks ("Leaf.")

The sentence would be: I read the book "Leaf". OR I read the book "Leaf."

Thanks,

In the US, the period goes inside. In most other places, the period would go outside. But as I said in your other post, don't use quotes for books.

Hi,

How does one put the title of a book in a sentence if one cannot put different letters? Which way is the best?

Like this?

I read the book: Leaf.

Thanks,

You cannot italicize and you cannot underline? Then and only then, go ahead and use the quotation marks. Don't use the colon.
