Essay & Composition Writing

Young people today mostly learn by reading books or watching movies, rather than real-life experiences. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, there are many ways for young people to broaden their knowledge in the technological age, and they often prioritize books or films over personal experience to learn new things. From my perspective, I believe there is no best way for everyone or every situation. Therefore, I don't absolutely agree with the above opinion.

First of all, the advantages of books and television programs are undeniable. The information in books and movies is written and created after a long time of research and experience. Therefore, they have a certain basis. Learning from these resources will save time and be convenient because everyone can approach them easily.

But, since the documents are from other people at different times, so it is not definitely suitable for all people and all situations. For example, just-graduated students often find information on the internet to prepare for an interview, but the feeling of nervousness just occurs through direct conversate with employers. Thus, to overcome the difficult question from recruiters, candidates need to supplement information not only in books and videos but also practice more.

Furthermore, real-life experience helps to improve memories. Perhaps the best example of this would be learning English. Everyone can study a foreign language via many interesting websites. But it is obviously more effective if put a person into a place where everyone uses English as a natural language. Therefore, directly taking part in a particular situation helps people to remember longer.

To conclude, obtaining information from passive methods is important to make a fundamental for applying this knowledge in the real life. But experience in person also plays a critical role, hence, young people should combine all of them to strengthen life skills.

Most of your essay was off-topic, so you will lose many points for "task response." The most important thing in an exam is to read the instructions. Read them at least 3 times. Understand the task. If you do not understand the task and write about something else, you will not get a good score.
