You you've

I convinced a friend of mine to come join a dance class I'm going to. She was there the first time, but didn't show up the week after. So after the class has finished I called her and said... "So I guess you decided it wasn't for you, huh?" She answered... "Yes, I'm sorry. I should have called you."

1: Is the underlined statement correct and does it sound natural in the context?

2: Would you replace the first you with you've instead?
