You will have dealt with this kind of problem before

Hello,

Could you kindly explain to me why Future Perfect is used in this sentence?

"You will have dealt with this kind of problem before, I expect so I'll leave you to get on with this".

This sentence comes from an exercise on future forms. It has three options:
a) are going to deal
b) are dealing
c) will have dealt

I don't really understand it.

Thank you

It is not future perfect. Any kind of future in a sentence with 'before' is highly unlikely. The 'will' here is an assertion of certainty, not futurity.

Thank you. I see. So the "will have dealt" in this sentence refers actually to the past?

Yes. I tend to substitute "of course" for "will" to get the meaning. An alternate substitution is "certainly".
