You will be remembered/You are remembered

Dear all,

One of my uncles died 25 years ago. The other day his 25th death anniversary was celebrated. On that occasion, his grandson sent a message on WhatsApp, which is our family group. His message was "You will always be remembered for your unconditional love shown to everybody in our family, especially to the younger generation." I feel that this sentence should be corrected as "You are always remembered for your unconditional love shown to everybody in our family, especially to the younger generation." I would like to get your opinion on this.

Thank you.

"You will always be remembered" is formulaic, and "you are" would sound odd. I would change the rest a bit: "You will always be remembered for the unconditional love you gave to everybody in our family, especially to the younger generation."
