You should punch in the number in the box.

Do we need two ins in the sentence? I think that I can also say, "You should punch the number in the box." for the same meaning. What do you think? Thank you so much as usual and have a good day.

Thank you and the context is when I try to buy something with my cell phone and I have an authorization number. And what is the difference between a sentence with one in and two ins in the sentence? I am so curious to know.
