You should have gone/been there.

When you try to say that someone should have visited some place, what would you prefer?
(1) You should have gone there.
(2) You souuld have been there.

For me, I'd like (2) better when the emphasis, as here, is on "staying" there. On the other hand, if the context is more about "traveling to that place", I'd like (1) better.

What do you guys think?
