You risk

Failure to complete these actions means you risk being removed from the register, with all the financial and professional consequences that entails.

I saw the above in one my Email at work.

Why the simple present tense is used-you risk...here? Can we not say you risking being removed...?

It is a reduced form of "means that you risk being removed".

"means you(r) risking being removed" may be grammatically justifiable, but it feels awkward.
