You need to walk a kilometer from here

Hi

When one student's giving the other, directions to the main office, he says

"You need to walk a kilometer from here."

OR "From here, you need to walk for one kilometer".

Are either of these sentences correct?

Please help.

These are what I would say:

When one student's giving another directions to the main office, he says, "It's about a kilometer from here."

When one student's giving directions to the main office, he says,"You have to walk about a kilometer in that direction."

When one student's giving directions to the main office, he says, "Walk down
