Dear Palema, May and Might are both used to talk about the chances of something happening, and to ask for and give permission(especially in a more formal style). g: I may see you tomorrow. Do you think I might borrow your typewriter?

Dear Palema,

May and Might are both used to talk about the chances of something happening, and to ask for and give permission(especially in a more formal style).

E.g: I may see you tomorrow.

Do you think I might borrow your typewriter?

And, Might is mostly used as a less definite or more hesitant form of may

Actually, the "percentages" explanation doesn't work because you can say

I may go to London, but I might not.

These two possibilities have to cover 100% of the cases. If may covers 50% and might covers 3

Hi and thanks to both for the suggestions.

I understand that " may" is more formal than " might" but at the end the meaning is the same ... OK. If I use " you SHOULD find some...." so it is good as well I guess but the meaning changes a bit?

Thanks

In your sentences, you should find = you can expect to find.
