Which one is correct

1- you know.......(sentence) or you know that........

2- Do you know? or Did you know? (when I want to tell about facts or somethings happened)

Did you know is used about past events. for example last month i went to Istanbul for holiday and my friend ask to you did you know yunus went to istanbul. another example this morning i got up late and i was late school and i say to you do you know i got up late this morning. in my opinion did you know is used old past but
