You heard me

Hi everyone.

I'm watching the TV show "How I Met Your Mother" and there's an expression I can't understand.

Barney offers some money to her friend Robin who is a news reporter to persuade her to do and say something stupid on a live newscast.

Barney:(handing her money) all right, Robin new challenge. And this one is big, but so is the cash reward. For 1000$... "you heard me." All you have to do is get up there on the news and do one of these( acting stupidly).

What's the meaning of"you heard me"

Thanks very much beforehand.

Presumably Robin reacted in surprise when Barney said '1000 dollars'. Barney's response is 'You heard me', which means, 'Yes, you heard me correctly' or 'Yes, it's true.'
