You can't insult an Englishman

Can you think of a really insulting term for a Brit? Something that elicits the emotions of the N word? No, you can't.
I believe this comes from the fact that if a group is in a dominant position for long enough that terms meant to be derogatory do not take on an offensive meaning.
On my first trip to speakers corner this African was really giving out about the Queen and Britain in general. The English businessmen on lunch break who were listening were not upset I only heard one of them comment, and he only said, "Rubbish, entirely rubbish." and kept listening. Maybe this phenomenon is what got Rush Limbaugh. Remember when commentators would comment about NBA teams keeping one token white on the team? No one got in trouble for that.

Limey looked good for a while, but now they just shrug it off.

Limbaugh said on ESPN what he believed to be the truth. He probably got spoiled by being allowed to say whatever he liked on his radio

No, that isn't a laughing matter, and would be very truly insulting if imagined, for a microsecond, to be true!

This Brit is assumed to be American from time to time, and it never fails to amuse me.
I think Rushtown was looking for a universal insult to the British.

There isn't one. I

Not all Brits are Englishmen. If you mean "Englishman", how about Sassenach?
