You Belong With Me? Is it correct?

How come the song is named "You Belong With Me"? Why not You Belong to Me?

Thanks a lot.

Hi, Perhaps for no real reason. But 'with' suggests more that the two people are equal, while 'to' suggests that one possesses the other. These are matters of romance, not of grammar !

Because there is already a song named "You Belong to Me".

Put an underline character between You and Bel
