You are welcome/ welcomed.

We usually say "You're welcome" as a respond to "Thank you"

My questions are

1. Is there any other usage of "You're welcome"?

2. What do you say when you greet someone who are invited to your house by you? Is it correct to say "You'are welcomed"? or just "Welcome - to my huse"?

  • We don't say, "You are welcome to my house" because that would mean we were giving it as a gift to the person, should he/she be inclined to take it.

We say, "Welcome to my house. Make yourself at home." We don't use "welcomed."
