Are you by any chance in the North of England? If so, it would mean laugh.

"You are a laugh" means you are witty or good fun to be with.

And before you ask, "worra laff" means "what a laugh", as in "how amusing".

In England laugh is pronounced "larf" in the south and "laff" in the north.
