Hi!

Is correct to say : "Have you done the homework yet?" or should I say : "Have you already done the homework?"

Thanks for your help,

We usually use 'yet' in questions and negative statements, and 'already' in affirmative statements; however, that is a guideline not a rule, and using them in other ways creates slightly different meanings sometimes:

Have you done your homework yet?-- This is the standard, unmarked question. The speaker does not have an opinion about what the answer might be.
