Yet more

Hi,

Is it alright to write: He tasted yet more drops of the syrup. (can 'yet more' be used in this way?)

2) Is it newly formed party or newly-formed? Do we need a hyphen?

3) Someone advising someone: Start doing it now and you could/can still finish your task. (obviously, it is present tense, but I am wondering whether could or can is right?)

Regards,
