I'd appreciate if the following piece can become an object of review from the members of the forum. I'm craving for comments on structure, grammar and punctuation as well as writing style. Thanks in advance!
Personal statement.
I've written the following personal statement to express utmost interest in applying for the undergraduate studies of Business Management in one of the Scottish Universities. I was delighted to hear about the opportunity for studying abroad while conversing with one of the students who has successfully matriculated for a similar opening. The first impression of the studying conditions and tutoring was positive to say the least, while it also poured optimism on my future career goals and expectations. I would be thankful if you consider my candidacy for prospective studies in light of my attainments and personal qualifications. Firstly, it must be underlined that the academic course I'm applying for will not hamper my adaption to it, since studying abroad isn't a novel concept for me. I've had experience in exploiting academic opportunities when pursuing a degree in International Law in Holland, which not only strengthened my overall interpersonal and communication skills, but to an extent replenished my knowledge of cultural and social values. My previous background is in computer science, however I've also taken courses in marketing and management enabling me to round up my outlook on the dynamics of business operations. I've been exposed to different learning environment in the past, which should qualify me as a mature candidate, who's able to swiftly integrate within a group of individuals and tackle mutual tasks within the academic course. I consider myself self-contained enough to become a competent contributor to the course with an array of interests in topics pertaining e-Commerce, business start-ups and Internet marketing. I've always felt inner gratification when expanding my intellectual horizons in this sphere, that's why I believe that while attending the mentioned educational course I'll be able to learn new skills and extend innate traits, encounter various administration situations and gain practical experience from completing challenging tasks. I believe that the Bachelor's Degree in Business Management will be of a great support for my career profile, especially in today's rapidly-changing employment marketplace. I'm willing to accommodate any request on your end as to what concerns the application procedures. Looking forward to speaking with you about the study prospects. Sincerely, XXX
