Yet and Already at the end of sentence.

Hi guys!

I'm very confused whereas I use yet or already at the end of sentece.
I have seen these two following senteces:

1) Have you fixed the car yet?

2) Have you finished that typing already?

For me, the both follow the same structure. I'm wondering when I have to use yet or already at the end of sentence. If I change yet to already and already to yet at the both sentences, do I change the meaning?

Thanks.
