The "yet" in the second sentence indicates how much time will pass before they arrive.

It's equivalent to saying

They won't arrive for 2 more hours.

The first implies that they will arrive at some time after 2 hours have passed. (could be 3 or 4 hours)

I wouldn't say wrong. It's just a bit unusual - not really standard. You won't find a lot of people saying it that way in most places. It may be regional. The meaning (to me) is that we/I/somebody will have to wait yet a
