yet

Hello Emotion: smile

I'd like to ask about "yet." Would you take a look at these sentences?
#1 Has it stopped raining yet?
#2 Have you done your homework yet?

In the question sentences you use "yet," right?
Can I omit "yet" in these sentences? Or are they ungrammatical?

Thank you.

No, you can omit "yet", but the meaning would be slightly different:

#1 Has it stopped raining yet?> you expect the rain to stop, and are a little impatient/ Has it stopped raining?>you're simply inquiring about whether the rain has stopped or not

Same for #2.
