I'm saying that the specific tag "Yes I do" works in the song, because poetry doesn't need to conform to the rules of grammar.

But in the real world, it does not work. You could not say to someone, or write to someone,
I place no one above you. Yes I do.
OR I take no prisoners. Yes I do. .

I'm saying that these are both positive statements, because the verbs are positive:
I do place& I do take

Negative statements, using negative verbs would be: I do not place& I do not take .

I"m saying that the meanings are negative, because the direct objects of the verbs are negative.
