Yes he is back just yesterday/ yes he is back to work, just yesterday he came from leave

One of my colleague had been out of station and was on leave from work and he was back just yesterday.

Today a third person asked me if the colleague was back to work or not.

I replied to him, "Yes he is back to work, just yesterday he came from leave", but I'm still not sure if I the sentence was correct or not.

And can I also say like this, "Yes he is back just yesterday"?

I suppose I can also say it like this, "Yes he was back just yesterday". Can't I?

I would not use 'just', but yes, you can say it as shown above.
