XXX of different XXX

For example,should it be

"culture of different countries" or "cultureS of different countries"?

If you search on google, you can find large amount of ppl saying both, and both sides has some universities or government authorities. This confuses me very much.

So could anybody tell me what is the rule here?

Grammatically, both are correct. The issue seems to be rooted in the syntactical and semantic aspect. I would say both as posibble, but "cultures" are more logical.

Hi,

I love travelling because I like to experience / know cultures of different countries.

Some countries have their unique cultures, and therefore you should say "cultures".
