Hello,
I've been wondering which word "Xth" or "Nth" should be used in the following sentence:
"Mike is paid for every Xth/Nth pen he assembles" - I don't want to specify whether he is paid after 5th or 10th assembled pen.
Thank you

Supposing the rate is $1 per pen, this would mean that he assembles, say, the first four pens for nothing, and then is paid $1 for the fifth. Is this actually what you mean? It seems more likely to me that he is paid $5 after assembling five pens.
