X Of

Can anyone please tell me what are the verbs which can/must be accompanied by "off".
I can mention few of them, like: dream OF, think OF, speak OF... It looks like the verbs which represent imaginary actions such as thunking and dreaming may be accompanied by "OFF". Is it correct?

Thanks in advance.

Careful!!! "of" and "off" are two different words. This is probably not an exhaustive list, but you have these in addition to those you mentioned: talk of, make of, become of, hear of, be unheard of When the Smiths won the lottery, their neighbors could talk of nothing else.

  • They've eloped.
