X each

Hello. I have found instances like the following:

- . . . sample of 80 bananas, 20 each from Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Chile.

- . . . 30 texts, 10 each from History, from Linguistics, and from Economics.

First question: Is this use of 'each' correct and clear?

Second: Is there another way to convey the same idea?

Thank you very much!!!
