Wrong doing

Question

We should forgive other people for their wrong doing.Can you use it like this? Are there better words to replace 'doing' beside 'mistakes'?

Wrongdoing is generally one word in this context. It also carries a different connotation than mistake - generally speaking, wrongdoing is intentional while mistakes (obviously) aren't. Deeds isn't a good replacement because deeds have a neutral-to-positive connotation when they aren't explicitly described as misdeeds (in fact, the existence of "misdeed" as a word meaning "bad act" should demonstrate this if you don't want to take my word for it).

There aren't a huge number of synonyms for mistakes - if you wanted to make a Biblical allusion you could say "We should forgive them that trespass against us" or a rewording, but this also carries a connotation of intention.
