I was wrong about what I thought about the Mavericks. The Mavervicks seemed they proved themselves they were a better team than the Heat.

The second sentence would be a lot more comprehensible and grammatically correct as "The Mavericks seemed they proved themselves they were a better team to be better than the team Heat."
