The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The given line graph compares the number of inquiries received by three different types by the tourist information office in one city from January to Jun in 2011.
As can be seen from the picture, it is clearly that, the number of enquiries given in person experienced the most dramatic change during the research period. Additionally, while the quantities of inquiries given by telephone rose significantly, there was a steadily declined in the figure by letter/mail.
In January, the number of inquiries by telephone was highest, at more than 440, while the figure for letter/mail was slightly lower, at around 750. Meanwhile, approximately 450 of enquiries were given in person. In March, while the quantities of inquiries by telephone and person both increased slightly to 1000 and 800 respectively, that of inquiries by letter/mail modestly decreased to about 700.
By the end of the survey period, the number of inquiries had climbed dramatically to about 1900 and became the highest figure in the line graph, while telephone’s figure had experienced significantly rose to 1600. At the same time, the quantities of enquiries by letter/mail rapidly had gone down to roughly 380.
