The chart below provides insightful information about the percentage of foreigners who pay a visit to New Zealand with various (diverse) purposes.
Overal, there are many differences depending on reason.
The proportion of intenational visitors reaching NZ for all reasons ranges from the highest number of aproximately 85% to the lowest number of just over 40%.
Walking is the most popular purpose for foreign tourists visiting NZ, acounting for roughly 85%.
The percentage of international people coming to NZ for sightseeing is slightly lower than that for walking , at about 75% and 85% repectively.
The percentages of people visiting NZ for boating and visiting volcanos are roughly similar, occounping for around 48% and 50% respective.
Only just over 40% foreign people arriving at NZ for visiting museum.
