They both received a very strict education which is common with Chinese parents in the United States, but the result is totally different. Amy Chua was raised by parents with the strict rules and putting pressure to get an A in everything. With this education, she believes in hardworking, excellence and discipline to education well his children to be as autonomous as possible. She believes in this method because everybody can be excellent at something if they work hard to get there. At the end, the Tiger method on Amy Chua gave her the strength and confidence to accomplish what she wants. However, the Tiger method didn’t get the same result with Juju Chang. After all these years, she was insecure, self-doubt and it takes years before she moves on. When it was time to choose an approach to raise his children, the Western way was better because she didn’t not want to see his children suffer from the Tiger method. The main goal of this method is to make their kids happy, but one way looks more radical from the public perspective.
