Topic: Young people today have no influence on the important decisions that determine the future of society as a whole.

Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Throughout the years, it seems that people regardless of their ages, backgrounds, or sexes, still contribute to society by their actions. However, it is believed that young generations would not make any significant changes to the future of our world. I strongly disagree with this argument, which I will explain the reasons in the essay.

First, young people play a vital role in society concerning their efforts for their study and work. Education is always one of the first priorities for the government in any country if they would like to reinforce a better future for their nation. Therefore, for young people, schooling still occupies their life as the main focus. When students have the opportunity to comprehend the essential knowledge, they are more likely to devote their efforts to making the world better. For example, every year, many excellent research papers about new inventions of science and how they can be applied in the inhabitant life have been distributed and praised. Some of which were actually written and researched by the high school students. In other words, their efforts could be counted thanks to their hard work at school.

Additionally, many students could come up with better initiatives and diffuse them to improve the social currents. To be more specific, everyday heated topics such as family abuse, mental problems in children tend to be neglected by adults, leading to some tragedies in their lives. Being conscious of these downsides, young generations have organized and run many communities to help those in need. They also raise their voices on special occasions to increase people awareness about these problems. As such, these problems could be more likely to be detected and be alleviated in society.

To sum up, I do not agree that student’s decisions make no impact in shaping the future of the world. Although there are still some limits and negative perspectives on them, our world will soon become a better place by many tremendous efforts of our future leaders- the young.
