Writing-task2: Farm

Some people support the development of agriculture, like factory farming and the scientific creation of fruits and vegetables, while others oppose.

Nowadays, it is believed that agriculture should be developed based on modern scientific achievements. However, there are also opposite ideas. In my opinion, agriculture should remain in a natural way, and modern techniques should be carefully researched and considered when applied.

On one hand, developing agriculture is encouraged. Obviously, some state-of-the-art scientific findings appear to significantly improve agriculture performance. Raising fruits in a greenhouse with intelligent systems, for example, can help people to automatically monitor weather factors, such as temperature, water level, among others, thereby avoiding the disadvantaged situations and increasing the performance. Additionally, modern techniques can increase the flexibility and variety of productions. For instance, in my country, based on some genetic technologies, farmers could raise watermelon with various kinds of shapes, colors, with or without seeds.

On the other hand, developing agriculture is said to have some negative effects. It can decrease fruit’s resistance to unexpected situations in general. As a result, most of the productions people use nowadays are some weaker versions compared to the original ones, that is, the corresponding nutrition in such productions does not meet the requirement of the human body. Moreover, some modern techniques, such as processing land by machines, and using pesticides, have negative impacts on the surrounding land, tree, environment, and even people.

In conclusion, although development agriculture brings some benefits, we need to process agriculture in a natural way and only apply scientific findings that have no negative effect on productions, surrounding environment, and people health.
