Writing task - a report

Question

Hi, I've just finished my another writing task - a report this time. As last time, it's only 250 words (will take you up probably two minutes)so if you don't mind proofreading it, I will be enormously grateful. So.. here it goes (it's in a response to this post so I can format it)

Here goes the task description (seems like I can't upload the picture with the description ==> so let me just write it down quickly. It's about the four-week trip to the UK, where the lunch was poor, some students lived with British families, some in the halls of residence, 6 hours of classes was too much, trip to London and Oxford were ok but to Bath and Stratford were boring, and there was too much sightseeing and too little shopping)

Introduction
The aim of this report is to evaluate student satisfaction with the four-week trip to the United Kingdom organised by the Kopernik’s Language School. We shall also present our suggestions.
Accomodation
As far as lodging is concerned, student’s opinions are halved. One part of the group dwelled with British families which provided additional opportunities to improve their linguistic abilities. Rest of us, on the other hand, were accommodated in the halls of residence, bereft of such chances. It would be advisable to alocate all students in Britons’ houses.
The classes
In general, people conceive of the school positively. Their main criticism were duration of classes and the scarce lunch which constisted merely of one sandwich per day. We propose reducing length of lessons from six hours to five and enriching lunch offer.
The extracurricular activities
The vast majority of students relished additionial tours, notably to London and Oxford, which were considered as very awe-inspiring. However, the other two trips, to Bath and Stratford we subsumed under being dreary. It would be far preferable to either exclude them entirely from the schedule or to invent one to a more attractive city.
We should also indicate that on every trip too much time was devoted to sightseeing and insufficient amount to shopping. We strongly recommend to extend leisure time on the abovementioned trips.
Conclusion
Overall, a great number of participants are highly satisfied and contented about the journey, and feel that if suggested changes are implemented, the experience will be even more pleasurable.

Thank you. Why, may I ask, do you consider the following words/phrases wrong? halved; scarce; devoted to (I checked on the website fraze.it that 'devoted to' might be used in reference to time)

As far as lodging is concerned, student’s opinions are halved.

We do not use "halve" with abstract nouns. Halve means to divide in two. Abstract things are not so easily cut exactly in half. We halved the apple.

His love was ~~halved~~ divided between the two women.

"Divided opinions" is a phrase meaning that the opinions were not unanimous.
"Undivided attention" is a phrase meaning that the people's attention was directed on one person or thing.

"scarce lunch "
Scarce means hard to find. eg. Food was scarce that winter because the summer harvest was meager.
Meager means a very small amount. eg. The lunch was meager, they doled out meager servings of soup.
Frugal means cheap, saving money. A frugal lunch means that they spent little money on it.

I don't find your use of "devoted to" wrong or even odd.
