WRITING TASK 2 VIOLENCE ON MEDIA

You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Some people believe that violence on television and in computer games has a damaging effect on society. Others deny that these factors have any significant influence on people's behavior. What is your opinion?

Write at least 250 words

It is undeniable that fierceness on both media platforms and virtual gaming harms the community. At the same time, an increasing number of people refute that human manners are not affected by the mentioned factors. This essay will discuss the reason why media violence would eventually promote human behavior.

On the one hand, tumultuous scenes on media will influence how human beings behave. Too much vulgarity and illicit content will manipulate chronic users, notably in the younger generation. There are instances of early exposure to those forums that would affect young minds, as children are likely to imitate what they frequently see. Besides, as an effect, aggressive and ferocious scenes are linked to wayward and unruly kids. To put it simply, it is an outrage that excessive connection between media violence and human would alter one’s behavior.

On the flip side, television and computer games would act as a precursor to one's future career. People solely involve in virtual battle instead of combating in real life. They would as well develop the mindset to eradicate crimes worldwide. Therefore, television and games will motivate one to become, for instance, a police officer or a forensic scientist, and goad them o pursuit their ultimate goal. For these reasons, virtual violence facilitates their choice of future occupation.

Taking everything into consideration, whether people are regarding violence on TV and computer games beneficial or detrimental is a controversial issue. Some believe this trend would damage society, whereas others refuse the argument. Ultimately, what I reckon is that even media aggressive actions are increasingly commonplace, they are not the factors that shape human personality.
