Some people think cars are a better way of transportation around the city, while others prefer cycling. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some individuals claim that cars are a better means of transportation around the city, while others choose bicycles. I think that depending on different purposes and distances when travelling around the city, everyone will decide whether they should use cars or bicycles.

From one side, driving cars around the city has some benefits. First, driving them save a lot of time. Since most of the cities are large, running them aids citizens and tourists to spend their time more effectively compared to being lost many hours by riding bicycles or taking buses. With the hectic pace of city life, private cars also help people go to their workplace sooner. Second, they are very comfortable and convenient. Specifically, each car is equipped modern systems such as air conditioning system and entertainment system, which assists people a lot to release stress after work or feel excited when travelling to beautiful places. Getting into a car also protect us from bad weather or dense smoke.

On other hand, riding bikes also bring to many advantages. The first benefit is leading people to a healthy lifestyle. Since bicycles move slowly, they enable us to enjoy spectacular scenery of the city and release stress and diseases efficiently. To illustrate, according to many scientists, cycling can help to protect us from serious diseases such as stroke, heart attack, some cancers. Furthermore, bicycles are a environmentally friendly means of transportation. Cycling is not harmful to the environment due to without releasing carbon dioxide. Hence, citizens and tourists should be strongly encouraged to cycle in short distances, which make a significant contribution to raise public awareness about environmental protection.

In conclusion, we cannot deny the benefits of driving cars or riding bikes. However, it depends on each people’s purposes with distances when travelling leading them to choosing an appropriate means of transportation.
