Writing task 2. Thank you for your help

Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

People are living in the world where industrialization and modernization have been happening for a century. As a result, standard living has been improving along with innovative technology in many fields. That is why many people claim that we have so many choices these days. From my experience, I strongly agree with this statement for two reasons.

People have to make choice because there is a wide range of merchandises. Thanks to the automatic machines, goods varying in quality, appearance and size are produced in a large amount. Besides, development in infrastructure and globalization assist the imported and exported activities. All leads to the variety of products that we consumed every day. Therefore, it is obvious that people have more choices in selecting things.

Individuals also have more options because they no longer just follow their parents' desire or belief. For instance, in the past, daughters have no choices except for arranged marriages. If they do not follow, they will be humiliated by the social and even their families. Currently, families are more open- minded and their members can choose who will be their soulmates. Moreover, people are less restricted by social norm and they have greater choices in studying and working.

In conclusion, I strongly approve that people nowadays have more choices than they used to. This is due to an increase in merchandises and improvements in older generation minds. However, people should take it into consideration before decide which is the better option.
