Nowadays, it is believed that an international sports competitions should be hosted since it is beneficial for the nation; nevertheless, some people are opposed to this idea, claiming that it is detrimental. Individually, I am of opinion that any problems always have own pros and cons and this idea is not an exception. Therefore, the following essay will take a look at both sides of the argument

On the one hand, I generally believe that an international sports event brings some strong points for the country. First of all, it helps people improve social relationships. In fact, supporters can take part in a group which supports for participants in their country and in terms of participants, they can get to know some other from all parts of the world. . Therefore, it is a good way to expand the friend circles. Moreover, a lot of businesses can get considerable incomes. Because it is attracted people from other nations flocking to the host country, their fundamental needs must be met like accommodations, restaurants or travel services. Accordingly, holding these events does wonder for people’s profits.

On the other hand, it is factual that this also creates a couple of harmful issues. Firstly, it wastes much national revenue . The government must take public money to prepare and refurbish facilities as well as provide accommodations for participants and authorities. Besides that, social evils increase, particularly gambling . For example, in my country, there are a lot of people who have the propensity to use their money and their properties to bet ratio on football competitions. If it is unfortunate, they seem to run out of money and resulting in a few suicides. This leads to effects towards citizen’s life in some countries.

To sum up, holding an international sports event gains not only positive effects, but also large troubles. My own view on the matter is that holding this kind of events should be well-considered before being carried out.
