Task 2

These days, there has been an innovation in education system all over the world that an abundance of extracurricular activities have been added to the education program. Most of the people claim that voluntary community activities should be a compulsory field of programmes for high school students. From my perspective, I strongly agree with this statement.

First and foremost, attending to unpaid services which serve the community would make students more confident. Due to partaking in voluntary activities, high school pupils would be able to meet the people from all walks of life, which gives them more opportunities to communicate with others. For instance, in Vietnam, students of Amsterdam high school for the gifted particularly, have been taking part in several nonprofit organisations such as AIESEC or Project Sugar, which lead to their extreme confidence when making a speech in front of a crowd or being a guided tour for foreigner tourists.

In addition, students enjoying themselves with charitable projects would be more have a sense of large-heartedness. If the high school pupils join in voluntary activities such as working for a charity, improving the underprivileged neighborhood or teaching specialised letter systems for the blinds, they would raise an enormous sense of humanitarian. For example, students who have witnessed their compatriots living in the poverty might feel mercy as well as respect the material conditions provided by their parents.

From what has been discussed above, it is reasonable to recognize nonprofit activities as a compulsory assignment for senior high school learners, regardless of score ranks.
