Topic: Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement

As a part of modern life, traffic is one of the most important thing to trade and move. It is true that railways should be expended by the governments rather than roads, but I also believe that roads should be invested too.

Actually, roads are suitable for a lot of vehicles like cars, trucks. First, there are a number of cars moving everyday to travel from house to the work place. Moreover, another vehicles like motorbikes, trucks and cycles also move on the roads instead of railways. Second, the private car price now is cheaper and so that, people want to drive their private car to travel more than take a train. In addition, if traveling by foot become one of the helpful method that can be used to keep fit, they can walk on roadside.

Meanwhile, by using train or underground train, people can save amount of money because this transport is a kind of public transport, so the price per time is not expensive for everyone. In addition, the expenditure for railways is lower than for roads because of small area which it needs. As a result, the traffic can not face with traffic jam problems because there is a few traffic flow in a particular area. For instance, in Japan, because of small acreage, underground train is one of the most popular and development transport which help Japanese much on traveling with its cheap price and high speed.

In conclusion, although the opinion talking about whether governments should expend on railways rather than roads or not, both of them are important and should be invested to development as fast as possible.
