Writing task 2
Withou capital punishment (the death penality) our lives are secure and crimes of violence increase. Capital punishment is essential to control violence in society.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
Nowadays, some people thinks that our society needs the death penality, because in their opinion if criminals are worried about their lives they will behave better. For this reason, they agree with the capital punishment.
In my opinion, we have to impede the rise of crimes without solutions so cruel and drammatic: for example, the governement could improve the preparation of police and the capacity of prisons. Furthermore, the thought that we can control the violence better in this way has several objections.
Firstly, the example is crucial for capital punishment, because the country teach to criminals that they must not murder anyone killing who do it: likewise, if a mother educates her son to have a good behaviour and in contrast she behaves badly, the son will not understand and will behave like her.
Therefore, perphas a person is afraid of the death penality he will not became violent, but the society has to educate people to moral issues: with the totalitarisms of the XX century people do not commit crimes, because the govern will kill them. For this, it was one of the most bloody and dramatic period of the hystory.
To sum up, our governements should control violence without the death penality becausein this way the country does not give the right example to society and criminals. In addition, it had just been the time of cruel punishmentes, now we have to build and show a mature society, where criminals are considered humans also with their life sentences.
