Topic: For centuries, important parts of education have remained such as reading, writing and math. With the advent of computer, some people think that computer skill be made a fourth skill to be added to the list. To what extent do you agree?

My essay:

It is undeniable that education has changed significantly since the advent of the Internet, while computers are the primary mean of using it. Many people argue that computer should be considered as a key skill similar with reading, writing and math in school. Personally, I also agree with this idea and this essay will discuss it in more depth.

There are reasons to believe that computers play an important role in educating students. First, in today’s modern world, the Internet is growing exponentially, but in order to use it more easily people must know how to use computers. Therefore, it is necessary to bring this equipment to school. Second, information technology developed from the Internet is very interesting, which many things from this field still has not been discovered. This means that students will have more curious to find out it through computers. As a result, computers become a good way of inspire for school children.

Although there are still some disadvantages from using computers, but I believe that these can completely be tackled. While computers contain some video games that cause to students’ addiction, leading to affecting on study outcomes, this will be managed by teachers and school’s regulations. Another possible disadvantage aspect is that if these school children used social network for a long time, this will also be negative effects on their physical and mental health. However, this problem will also be analyzed and calculated by scientists so that students can use computers in a reasonable period of time. In fact, all these problems are good controlled at school and computer knowledge has been bringing positive efficiency for students.

In conclusion, despite having some drawbacks, I support for those who think that computer subject should be listed, and it should also be seen as one of the most important subject at school.
